Nope. Plenty of time for outings on nonpreschool mornings.

Only for vacations if it can’t be avoided. We have the rest of the week to have fun or do other activities. We scheduled grandparents visit around pre-school fall break this year.

For travel, absolutely. For a grandparent visiting or something special, I let the kid chose. Kid 1 was fine to miss a day... kid 2 almost never wanted to miss a day. Each only went 3 mornings a week, so we did outings on one of the other two week days

If you want to go hang out with your friend, go hang out with your friend. You have a certain circumstance, its preschool, go have a fun day or two. You're over thinking it.

I've pulled mine out twice, once for a week in France, and another week in Canada. They've also missed a few Friday's to extend our weekend out of state. But, for the things you listed, no. Those things can be done on the weekend.

Never.

We do those type outings on days he doesn't have preschool or in the afternoon after preschool.

Since we were paying for preschool, I never pulled them. The only time I pulled them was if we were going on a family vacation that week.

Why not go on the field trips? I'm a WOHM, and I take days off to go on the field trips sometimes. My daughter loves it, and the teachers appreciate the help from chaperones. Win-win all around.

My kids loved going to preschool. I wouldn’t pull them out for that stuff. We had enough days off for fun.

If your kids are only enrolled 2X a week and you feel like skipping it, do you really want to send your kids to preschool at all? Serious question. Do you want to do this? It’s okay if the answer is no.


My friend’s kids go to school MWF. I do meet up with the friend for lunch or dinner but our kids’ schedules don’t seem to work to hang out. Weekends are busy with older kids’ activities.

Oh hell no. Preschool is expensive and it’s the only break I get. I do plenty of outings on the weekends.

Youre a SAHM, you have 5 days to do fun stuff with your kids. Why would you pull them out of preschool? My kids would be sad to miss it. They go mornings 3 days a week and they really look forward to seeing their friends and teachers.

I used to work when my older kids were preschool age. I pulled them out often for outings to cox farms, zoo, apple picking, etc. they were in daycare though and didn’t have school breaks. They basically went to daycare everyday.

Now my youngest is in preschool 2x per week and I never pull her out. I have a good friend whose kids preschool is off from ours.
