How is this happening when a not-insignificant percentage of Easter/TPMS admits had 80th percentile MAP and 4s on PARCC?
How are the very high flyers like PP's child supposed to get access to accelerated curriculum and a peer group? Even if there are 20 or more kids like this at her child's MS the chances of all of them being in a single class together are practically nil. Most likely they will get mixed in with good but not elite students.
I have one of those "good" students at a high performing MS but 2/3 of the grade falls into this category. It's more the norm to be in the enriched classes than the other way around.
