Iron makes you constipated and can upset the stomach, PP. that’s why some prenatal don’t have them.

Idk what qualifies as a "horse pill" but I can get the CVS and Target generic ones down pretty easily -- they're roughly the size of a standard Tylenol.

If you try the gummies be aware that they don't have iron in them (this is why some women with nausea can keep them down better) so if you're prone to anemia you may end up need a separate iron supplement. But iron tablets are pretty small ime, like ibuprofen-sized.

Ritual vitamins. Look for vitamins with Folate and not Folic Acid.

My OB gave me a prescription for "Select-OB with DHA" It comes with a berry flavored chewable and a small capsule pill of DHA. I found a coupon on the manufacturer's website and got it cheap.

gummies are the best since they're easier but make sure you don't have gestational diabetes since they do contain sugar in them but otherwise highly recommended.

It's best you use a food based prenatal. Did you know that many women have MTHFR which means they have issues converting folic acid to folate. I recommend a prenatal with folate instead of in the synthetic form folic acid. Some of the ones I recommend are Best Nest Wellness, Mega Food, New Chapter, Rainbow Light, and Garden of Life.

+100 on gummies. I choked down stinky horse pills my first pregnancy (except for the days my nausea and gag reflex prevented me from even opening the bottle.) Taking the VitaFusion gummies this time and can’t believe I was such an idiot before. (When you get to the heartburn stage of pregnancy do yourself the same favor and get chewy fruity Tums instead of the chalky ones.)

Gummies! I used the CVS brand pre-natal and those worked well.

Additionally, my former OB said that technically, you can get all your pre-natal vitamins by just eating 2 Flintstones a day. This was a while ago, so best to confirm but is an option if the horse pills are making you nauseous.

What is the best prenatal that isn't the size of a horsepill?
