Dear Popville,

I wanted to drive my car right next to a major event and had to sit in traffic! Ugh, why don't people get out of my way? I'm going to be late for my Soulcycle Zumba class. Don't these people understand that I have places to drive?

What are y’all talking about? I was near the Petworth metro and there were tons of people. It was great!

That’s not what i saw at all. I biked a portion of this as I was going from takoma park to Arlington this morning and was curious to see what this was about. I ended up moving over to a different route because Georgia was so crowded. Based on what I saw, it seemed like lots and lots of people were out enjoying it.

I don't know who you people are or what time you went out there, but I was out there during the event with kids and it was packed! Lots of people out. This was not just a few bicyclists. I wish this was every weekend.

Maybe you went by after 2pm when it was winding down for cleanup. Or you're just being disingenuous.

My bus trip across town took three times as long and involved twice as many buses. Couldn't they have at least taken buses into account? I can only imagine the problems ambulances are having.

I doubt that!

NP. Okay so maybe not hundreds of thousands but it certainly made trying to go north on 13th, 14th or 16th a nightmare today. Can't speak for the other streets. Maybe no parking on 16th streets when they do this? Or come up with other traffic patterns to help?

What? Were we at different events? I saw tons of people of all ages out biking, walking, skating, scootering. I thought it was a wonderful event and hope they do it again.

Actually it’s very crowded. Business owners love it.

+1

The local businesses must hate it. There is no one out compared to the usual Saturday morning.

I sat in my car twice as long as I normally would trying to get to the grocery store. Yay! Way to help the environment!

We just returned from there and I thought it was great. I found a lot of new places that hadn't seen before. I hope they do it more often.
