I’m so sorry for this painful experience that you’ve had to endure.

Thank you. We made it through the worst of it--stronger. But I can see how it can break couples up. But the long lasting effects...the pain of losing a child never goes away...

Sometimes difficult discussions need to be had. I'm not going to shy away from addressing a tough issue because it might provoke tears.

Just curious to hear from the men here, if they’ve ever made their poor wives cry? Did it break your heart seeing her cry because of you? How did you make things better afterwards?

It would be if DW ever cries because of me.

It's worst! Why am I seeing this everywhere now? Is it an auto correct thing?

Interesting question... I don't think so but I am not 100% sure. We've been together for so long (40 years), I am sure there were times she wanted to kill me. But I don't recall seeing her cry. I will ask and report back.

I'm a DW that cries when I get mad. Sometimes it just happens. He isn't being particularly mean or anything, I just cry when I get frustrated.

Well, I'm the DW so I can only tell you from my perspective. DH has only made me cry pre-marriage, when we were drunk college kids behind dramatic about something not very significant. Does that count? It's been about 15 years since then and I don't think he's made me cry since.

When we had discussions of libido imbalance (me wanting, her not) it often resulted in tears, she isn't good enough, I should find someone else.

Crying shuts it down, not sure if that was her intention so I don't raise it anymore.

Made her cry? Like, intentionally? If she cries, that's on her.

If you have never made your wife cry, she probably has a mental disability.

Has anyone actually gotten to marriage without ever having cried in a fight? I won't do the old, 'i'm a woman but I'll speak for DH' thing. But we are a low conflict couple and both of us have shed tears about our relationship over the course of the deacade we have been together.
