Same. 3 pin. We might have given ibuprofen in anticipation of him being sore after but I don't recall it being an issue.

Subject: Pin Removal - broken bone
Not sure what forum to post this but my 7 year old DS broke his arm and has one subcutaneous pin and cast on . Next week we go and they take off cast and pull out pin then recast with shorter cast. The DR just told me they use no numbing agent and no laughing gas etc. and I am trying to figure out if this is the proper protocol for a pediatric patient. I have had questions regarding his care as they are not specifically pediatric.. but they cover them etc. and now I am even more concerned that I should have been in a pediatric ortho place. Anyone with any advice or experience on this?
