Glad I posted this on here and see it's normal and even necessary in some families for DH to do these types of things.
For us, it's not necessary. We both have jobs that allow us to take DS to doctors appts, have sick/snow days, etc. I just don't think that being the 100% default parent (when it's not necessary) is a good thing.

Anonymous wrote:We rotate all appointments. We have 3 kids so no one person can do 3 wellness and 6 dental visits a year...let alone sick visits. We try to schedule dental on Saturday mornings but our pediatrician's first appointment isn't till 8:10 so we just take turns going into work late. For sick appointments DH is more likely to take them because he has way more seniority at work and can come and go where as I have to take formal PTO to even step out of the office for an hour.
