Nah. It’s pathetic if they don’t tell parents what it is.

I would send my kid if they tell me it’s a ropes course.

If they send home an ambiguous permission slip, i’d also just keep my kid home.

Not in MCPS, but I remember the waiver form we had to sign for our school's teambuilding seemed to say proceed at your own risk and we're not responsible for your kids. I understand why a parent wouldn't feel comfortable sending their child to these things. Pretty sure my parents wouldn't have sent me if they read these waiver forms in the 1980's!

That was going to be my guess. Ropes course. Liability waivers are always over the top for that kind of stuff. Trampoline park, ropes course, etc.

I would have kept my kid home also.

They should at least give parents more info about what it entails.
