A couple schools are taking kids or giving excused absences. That’s a field trip. Not activism. But for this issue I dont care. All in.

I would have gone with kabuki activism. At least not as bad as the climate protest Monday that plans on forcing thousands of cars and buses to idle in traffic -- all in support of the planet.

NP. Fake activism. That students who walk out should do it and suffer the co sequences for their actions. So whatever would happen if they walked out on a regular Friday.

It’s an unexcused absence so isn’t that the same as any other day?

Yes. But getting mommy’s permission? Just go.

I'd let mine but she gets to go observe a lung resection tomorrow which she is all pumped about. Freshman too - I'd be fine with it if she wanted to.

If she is going with friends I’d say yes for sure.

Our daughter has only one academic class tomorrow due to planned teacher absence. So I am leaning towards giving her permission. But I am concerned about crowd control and negotiating the metro in a crowd. She is a freshman. How are others handling this?
