We have weekly fall (and spring) skills classes on Sunday afternoons in McLean (just off the Beltway) and Fairfax (just off 66); programs have already started, but where space is available we're glad to welcome new players and prorate registration fees accordingly.

In the winter, we go indoors in Fairfax, just off the Beltway. We're crafting the winter schedule now; registered fall players will have priority, and then we'll open signups to everyone.

We offer programs for different ages and skill levels, from beginners through travel, and we're always happy to talk with parents to find the best fit for their player. Private, semiprivate, and team training is also available, at our field or at a location closer to you.

I went to college with Tamir, good guy and a soccer guru. You won't be disappointed with his program.

I live in Fairfax and have done several Golden Boot (GB) clinics over the years. The trainers have be fine but the problem is that it doesn't really draw any "top" players in my opinion. The 1v1 activity can be set up perfectly but if you are going up against some rec kid or low level travel player, there is no point. I know HP Elite used to screen players but even they stopped drawing top players. I know they started "DA only clinics". I'm not sure if GB screens for certain clinics or not.

So if the top players stopped going to even HP Elite, where are they training?

My son has trained a couple times with Futstars. It is a newer program, but I have seen a lot of growth from my son training there. https://www.futstarsacademy.com/

If you are looking for training exclusively with very top players, this is broadly correct. But plenty of good first team players go to Golden Boot from BRYC, McLean, VYS and elsewhere.

Golden Boot is in multiple locations, some of which are closer to Arlington.

Contact them. They will come to you. There are a lot of options not necessarily listed on the website. I know BeastMode trains in Fairfax - close to alexandria.

So, are there actual alternatives to HP Elite? There is no professional training in this area outside of this company?

It seems to be the only outfit that gets a mention on these boards. Some of it seems to stem from personalities (I have no idea who these folks are).

If you're looking to supplement, it seems like you either have to do HP Elite or find a private trainer.

Coerver does it too, but in very inconvenience locations.

Many club coaches do private training. But they do not have consistent time and location like HP Elite.

Every club in the area does supplemental training, what do people not understand? HP training is nothing special if your club does not provide extra training for $$$ then maybe you need to find a new club.

Money talks every... EVERY club has extra training if it means $$
