I canvassed in VA during the last election. There are a lot of good people there, but plenty of scary bigots too. I prefer to raise my family in DC/MD.

Suburban Maryland in this study does not exclusively equal Montgomery County.

Seems like there is zero job growth in MOCO and now 90% of job growth in the entire region is in NoVA.

Both my husband and I work in DC but we feel like there are a lot more job prospects out in Tysons

Why do you care about relative job growth?

I call troll.

Is your issue that you would have a bad commute, or that housing values will go down? If the former, I commute from Bethesda to Tyson’s and it’s actually not as horrible as everyone says, since I shift my hours earlier. If the latter, there are other reasons to be in Bethesda.

Yes, I grew up in MoCo. It’s been declining for years. Move to va.

NOT anytime soon. They are making profits again. Those toxic housing assets are regaining FMV.

BTW Freddie is in Tysons, where as Fannie is in DC.

I don’t trust Stephen Fuller. He was in trouble recently for offering to let Amazon preview one of his supposedly independent reviews. Low job growth when the economy is healthy and unemployment is low not very surprising.

Trump is going to Trump Fannie and Freddie.

This. Depends on industry. It would be interesting to see OP's stats by industry - I suspect it would say a much different story.

Definitely an issue that's been talked about at length on DCUM. I'm a MoCo resident and have had zero issues with jobs (then again, my industry is much better in MoCo than Nova - Biotech/pharma). Something to watch for, for sure.
