Say what you will, will be in high demand from BH to Aspen and down to Miami.

So true. I was prepared to drool over this vehicle, not spit out my coffee in disgust.

Actually there are more women purchasing LR’s than men, hence the softer, less capable redesign. So all those micro penises you’re speaking of, are actually clitorises.

Independent front suspension and unibody construction?

Hard pass.

The only things that made the Defender appealing in the first place were solid axles front and rear, and body-on-frame design. In other words, an honest TRUCK design. Not a boxy looking AWD car fitted with AT tires.

At this point, there’s nothing separating it from (far better) competitors like the Toyota Landcruiser/Prado/Hilux/4Runner, Nissan Patrol, and Benz G-Wagon. And even all of those are inferior to the ordinary, plain old, Jeep Wrangler.

Sad to see Land Rover throw in the towel like this... but not unexpected. Steadily losing market share to better vehicles since the 70’s, now their only customers are wealthy urbanites who drive exclusively on pavement, but want to display a rugged outdoorsy image to the world. “Except those Defenders are just soooooooo icky and ride uncomfortable... can’t they make it more like a luxury sedan?” .....

Well, they did. And that has finally killed it.

Aren’t Range Rovers made in India now?

Looks like a gas-guzzling status symbol. A little thirsty.
