Subject: Toyota SofTex seats
Honestly, they were sort of a deal breaker for us. We were strongly considering the 2019 RAV4 Hybrid, but I absolutely hate those seats. They feel so fake and plasticy. Kind of insane that the top trim lines at $34-$38K have such awful seats. At that price, I’m expecting some leather.
The new RAV4 must be so profitable to Toyota. The features are completely lacking (no power seats for the passenger even on the Limited trim!!!), but they have it priced as if it’s a base level Lexus or BMW X1.

Subject: Toyota SofTex seats
I'm interested in checking out the new (redesigned) Rav4, but we want leather seats for our next car purchase. I see Toyota only offers a synthetic leather called SofTex.
To those who own a Toyota with this, is it noticeable, or does it feel like a car with leather seats? How do you like it?
