Yes, still a risk. Go to cdc.gov for latest updates. The wait is 8 weeks from your return of a Zika location to attempt pregnancy (for female) and 3 month wait (for male).

I understand it's annoying, and it took me 2.5 years to conceive. We had to change travel plans multiple times. BUT. At the end of the day, I am grateful that we didn't take any risks.

Your OBGYN will have more guidance on this, but likely they would ask you to refrain from trying for 6 months after you go to a Zika area.

I've been TTC for a year and avoiding all countries with a risk of Zika. We're thinking of going to Laos in a few months, as I'm still not pregnant. Anyone heard any updates about Zika? I saw a tropical medicine doc 2 years back about it, but I'm wondering if things have changed since then.
