Yep. The gun forced him - at gunpoint, no less! - to pick it up and shoot a girl. Guns are smart and ruthless like that. Not only are they highly intelligent and capable of going anywhere they want, they’re also very effective at peer pressure and manipulation tactics.
Wall’s nephew, merely a human being, was powerless against such a cunning, highly intelligent, manipulative piece of steel and plastic.
