dp. true, but if everyone else is wearing it, then OP's DD might want to too. A lot of kids don't like to stick out.

Agree with suggestion of sweatpants (can hide the skirt in it) or change there.

It's fine, OP. That's a common leotard style, and you're lucky the skirt is attached so it doesn't get lost. Just have her wear street clothes over top to walk into the building. They sell dance warm-ups that she might be able to wear in class if she gets cold, but check with her teacher first because not everyone allows them.

We did a skirt over a leotard w/attached skirt, since she didn't like how it bunched up with shorts. She was only 4 though, and the skirt wasn't a tutu, it was a simple ballet skirt. If a real tutu, tulle and all, is required, agree with 11:32 to look for a better ballet program for a 7 year old.

Leotard and tights with sweatpants and sweatshirt over it. They make tights with holes in the feet so that you can bunch them around your ankle and wear flip flops etc. Tutu and shoes in a bag.

DD7 is in a little fun ballet class this fall. They are required to wear a leotard with attached tutu and tights, but she’s embarrassed to walk into the rec center wearing just that. It starts next week. Do you wear shorts over the outfit? Change there?
