It depends on the studio. Traditionally you shouldn't wear a skirt until you've been practicing for several years so that the teacher can see what your hips are doing. But a lot of studios allow them. I would just wear sweatpants and have the skirt hang out. Most places will have a changing room though.
It’s not a studio, it’s at the rec center. It’s for fun over the winter, not serious competition.
If it's the rec center, she doesn't ACTUALLY need the dress/tutu thing. They're not going to kick her out for not having that.
