Lots of crime happens to people's cars when you aren't around thank god for tesla. hopefully all cars follow their lead and we can put an end to this once and for all.

I am glad this is happening, we can stop people from damaging other property. Even if the spaces are close there is no excuse.

I agree car companies should do something about this by putting rubber in places where dings are likely to happen.

It's crazy to only blame the people when...

--the Tesla driver parked so close to the line.
--the spaces are prob small (why don't garage owners get any blame?).
--the car companies don't design cars in a way to prevent the problem in the first place.

Plus, it is creepy to record people near your car.

Will it also record Tesla owners dinging other cars?

I have a small car and even my car lands up hugging lines on either side of my car when parked smack in the middle of a space. Spaces are ridiculously small.

I totally agree. Plus the Tesla videotaping me if I walk close to the car? Talk about creepy and over-surveillant.

I don’t get why car companies don’t just put the thinnest line of rubber or some other non-metal substance around the parts of doors that might ding other cars. Seems so easy.

As I see it, the Tesla’s owner is at fault. Look how close they parked to the line. The car in the video has more space to the line. You don’t get to park a half inch from the line and complain when a door touches your car. That’s your fault.
