Glad to hear you didn’t let the nervous nellies here dissuade you! Unfortunately there are a lot of people on here who think you’ll be shot any time you walk into PH county.
I spent a year riding the green line home from class at 9:30 and it was fine.
I hope you had a great time at the Nats game!

I think its fine. I commute green line and have sometimes felt uncomfortable from Anacostia towards Branch later in the evening but heading north isn't a big deal. And you're right - there will be tons of people post game.

I honestly think you’d be totally fine on the train. There will be a ton of other Nats fans on the train and I’ve never seen anything untoward happen at the College Park station itself. I have sat in the deserted parking lot and chatting on the phone between 8 and 9 at night a couple time when I was teaching at the university and no one bothered me at all. Not sure why everyone thinks it’s dangerous...

My friend was actually going to pick me up at the station and then we'd drive to his home. (He lives in University Park near the elementary school.) I may just uber all the way there.
PG Plaza station is closer to University Park. If he's waiting to pick you up, you're totally fine.

There are a lot of students around the College Park station, probably even at that time. I used that station a lot as a student and never had an issue, although not quite that late. How are you leaving the station, walking or being picked up by a car?

I have travelled back and forth between both stations at all hours of the night and never been concerned. That being said I am a tall woman who rarely gets hassled so you may feel less safe than I did traveling after dark.

College Park Metro Station isn't a great one, especially late at night. There is a good amount of crime. I grew up here and I wouldn't go there late at night. Uber.

I am planning a trip from the Navy Yard station to the University of Maryland station on Wednesday, August 28th around 9:30PM. I am a petite female and will travel alone.
