previous poster is correct.
All kids are put in 6th grade math. They'll be tested in the first week and either kept in 6th or placed in 7th. It's about a 50/50 split. Both are versions of pre-Algebra (as is 8th grade math).
Just a plug to go to 6th grade orientation on Friday. All of this will be explained there, as well as the different math tracks the kids can follow through MS.
Just FYI that the pre-placement observation and testing lasts 2-3 weeks; it used to happen within the first week, but they slowed it down a few years ago.

I'm the previous poster. I just looked again and saw nothing. The view is automatically set to "current year" so I changed it to "previous year" and saw last years schedule. I then switched the view back to "current year" and that's when the schedule popped up.
