Only a few clinics will transfer abnormals and they have to be certain types of abnormal. And those clinics only do it for people who have no other options and have done multiple cycles. And of the abnormals that get transferred, very few produce a healthy child. Perhaps you don’t fully understand the implications of what you’re proposing, but the understandably negative comments should tell you it’s not good on multiple levels.

+1 to this. Lots of individual examples (but probably not high success rate) of mosiacs leading to healthy baby. Just be prepared for it not to work.
However, as a person who has had 2 miscarriages after transferring untested not great graded embryos -- the miscarriages take a toll on your psyche and body.

There is no way I would ever, ever transfer an abnormal (and I don't think any RE would let you). You are guaranteed that it will either be a miscarriage or a baby with a genetic disorder, potentially a fatal one.
I get the argument for mosaics (self-correcting, etc), but still don't think I'd risk the emotional devastation of carrying up to the amnio and then finding out there was something seriously wrong. Especially not with 5 normal embryos.
Do another retrieval or just be grateful for what you have and accept what your family is meant to be.
All of this. OP ... please don't do this. I got 3 PGS normal embryos over 2 cycles and we accidentally found out one was a boy. We purposely asked them to not tell us which embryo they transferred during my FET. Turns out it was the boy. I was disappointed to be honest, I really really wanted a girl. But you know what? I'm getting a boy and he's going to be great. Handle what you have.

We are happy to have 5 normal PGS embryos - they all turned out to be girls. The 3 abnormal ones were all boys. Happy to have 5 normal, but we always saw ourselves having at least one boy. Has anyone ever transferred an abnormal embryo? I know some doctors are really passionate about how PGS is flawed and I’ve read the New York magazine piece several times.
Just trying to gauge how common it is for people to knowingly transfer abnormal embryos, and if so what have been your outcomes?
