There are Yorktown families that are zoned for Tasker??? I'm so confused. (New Bowie family here)

OP here, thank you. Going to also take a look at Yorktown homes that also feed into Ogle. Good Middle schools can be so hard to find. Challenging age!

We have kids in Yorktown and love it. I have only heard good things about Whitehall, but no personal experience. We are not zoned for Ogle, but many of our kids' peers are and seem satisfied.

I am not a parent but I have only heard good things about Whitehall ES. I have also heard good things about Kenilworth, Tulip Grove and Yorktown ES. I am sure that there are other good ES in the Bowie area.
I have also heard good thing about Ogle MS. I know several families with kids in the TAG program at Tasker MS. It is fairly new but is supposed to be well run. I can't speak to the rest of the school because I don't know any families there.

We are moving to Bowie from Silver Spring and have two kids who will be starting elementary school. It’s likely we’ll be putting down roots and staying for some time. Any parents or teachers that can speak to their recent experiences with either school? I think Great Schools is okay to help for general research, but is of course not the whole story. But when we move, we’re prioritizing neighborhood schools we like in hopes of minimizing the lottery shuffle.
