Actually, as a first-gen American, I felt the story reflected so many of the mixed feelings that play out in the experience of leaving behind your country, culture, language and family -- as well as the experience of those who stay. And for any family, the question of how much truth we reveal to one another is complex. Also, the music is awesome -- loved the father-daughter karaoke to Killing Me Softly and the beautiful version of Come Healing.
