This is incorrect. McCabe is saying that his termination was wrongful because he was terminated for failing to be loyal to Trump. Which he's not supposed to be.

Pp is partly right. But McCabe was acting and thus not politically appointed. But he was excepted service and in his role, dishonesty is probably sufficient grounds for termination. Excepted service have a lot less protections.

He did, but there’s no guarantee that will cover all the legal fees.

I don’t think Trump fires him for this reason, though. I believe Trump has made many statements that show the firing was political.

The man performed his job for years and is entitled to his pension.

General Flynn is enjoying his $150k military retirement.


Flynn is going to be sued for millions in legal fees, and may go to prison. I don't know that I would call that "enjoying" his retirement.

Perhaps because Trump kept talking about him, giving more fodder for the complaint. If you read it, it has allegations about statements by Trump about McCabe as recent as last month.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. As a Fed., I have rules to follow yet this Administration openly defies them. Why do rules only matter for some? In McCabe’s case, it’s unclear what rules he broke. As for Strozk, I think people who have affairs at work should be fired. Their comments on Trump only matter because they were dumb enough to do it on GFE phones.

There was some discussion of Strzok’s suit in an old thread but now McCabe has filed also and the suit alleges that Trump had an unconstitutional plan and scheme to discredit and remove DOJ and FBI employees who were deemed to be his partisan opponents because they were not politically loyal to him.”
