That’s true but he was an FBI agent working with national security. It’s a common reason he would be susceptible to blackmail. Just like a bunch of Trump appointees. He used terrible judgement and I’m sad at the loss of a valuable and extensively experienced agent.
I don’t think Trump fires him for this reason, though. I believe Trump has made many statements that show the firing was political.
The man performed his job for years and is entitled to his pension.
