Not trashy, but enjoyable, light & well written: Julie James. She has an FBI series if you want a little more plot. And also several that are just meet cutes. Her latest book came out 2-3 years ago and was disappointing. All the earlier books were good fun.

Beautifull Bastard-Christina Lauren (this is whole series, their later books are just poorly written romcoms, the early stuff is very sexy).

2nd The Hating Game and add 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
Also the Reluctant Royals series from Alyssa Cole, for modern

For Regency romances- which is what I read too much, my favorite authors are Tessa Dare, Lisa Kleypas and Julia Quinn.

If you don't mind some vampires the Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks is pretty good. Each one builds on the others.

Another paranormal series is The Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Similar to above, the stories are independent but build off each other.

I also like PC Cast's Goddess Summoning series. They are very easy reads.

i an a 100% trash reader. Here are my favorites.

For the erotic stuff: Lorelei James and Lauren Dane
For romantic comedy: Susan Elizabeth Phillips; Jill Shalvis
For straight romance Marie Force

The best of these are series so look them up online and start at the beginning.

Outlander - trashy romance but the historical setting and the writing make it less so. i will always have a soft spot for this book since i read it while studying for the CPA exam and it was fantastically distracting

I just re-read Riders every time I go to the beach tbh, and it never disappoints.

I like David Baldacci books. You know who’s the good guy and who’s the bad guy

No idea who that is, but you might like books by comedians. Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, Mindy Kaling, etc.

When I want fluff fiction I read Jonathan or Faye Kellerman, or John Grisham.

Lay it on me: I am so profoundly sad about the state of the world that when I'm not reading news, I want pure, unadulterated trashy reading. When I lived overseas I loved indulging in books by Jilly Cooper (lots of sexy romps among the horsey set), so for those of you who know her, that's about the level I'm going for. The only hitch is that I want it to be readable at the same time: fun, vacuous and full of romance and hijinks, even formulaic, but not awful writing. I've read more than my share of thrillers lately, and I'd like a break from people getting killed/abducted/assaulted etc.

Anyone?
