My other dd has zero gaps anywhere in her mouth and she’s the one the dentist is worried about. She has no room for her adult teeth and will probably need major orthodontics before too long. She’s still super cute.
Don’t borrow trouble, op. And don’t get too caught up in one idea of beauty.
Cute as a kid may not be cute as an adult. Fix them if you can afford it.
OP, all her teeth will fall out. It makes no sense to fix it now and there is a discomfort and a huge cost involved but you can probably find some greedy orthodontist who will fix it and then charge you again for the next set of teeth.

The dentist says that the gap isn’t caused by a lip tie (but that she does have a slight one), but that it’s more genetic. However, neither me nor my husband have any gaps in our teeth and have never worn braces. The dentist says that we should just let the permanent ones come in and put on a brace when she turns about 7. Anyone dealt with this before? Just curious as to if we should get another opinion. I’d hate to wait out the permanent teeth only to find out that we could’ve done something helpful at this early age. Thanks![/quote
What on earth do you mean? Get braces? Get a tooth pulled? Wear a retainer? What exactly do you think could be done with a toddler?
