I'm a career Fed and I don't think there are prestigious agencies. There are agencies relevant to your field or that you partner with, and you may have had good or bad experiences with the people there.

Agree with this, plus SEC and State.


Not for lawyers. SEC is just where big law associates go to be overpaid and not enforce securities zealously. State is full of lawyers negotiating embassy contracts.

These are the best places to work, which is not necessarily the same as most prestigious.

Not a fed employee, but hear ppl mention they are working for a prestigious agency. Can you give some agency names that are considered prestigious among fed employees?
