Land's End clothes are way too dorky to put on a tween. I wouldn't do it to my kids' worst enemy.

Aeropostle, Hollister, and Abercrombie (or Abercrombie Kids) are all good skinny kid brands. American Eagle runs a big bigger but is also cute.

PP here: just to note that she was average height and weight, just edging toward puberty so the weight was starting to distribute itself differently. If we sized down one from her usual, and bought the plus, sometimes the clothes fit better overall than just sizing up would.

11 yo girl bodies don’t do as well with boys’ clothes as 7 yo girls do.

REI---my DD got some great ones there. If you don't have an REI in your area, you may have EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports)

My 11 yo DD now no longer fits into girl sizes, and now I am scrambling to figure out where to shop. She is a tomboy and will only wear khaki Bermudas and pants. Any ideas? Thank you!
