If you get divorced and he starts a new family, he’ll probably have little kids when yours are in college and REALLY need financial support. People tend to focus on what’s in front of them (in this case, the little kids) and it’s easy for a stepmom to argue that the older kids are “adults” and they need to focus on private school for the little kids or whatever.

No one is going to force him to get a V.

You want to control the fertility of another person. Think about this. And potentially a third person as well. You all need some damn hobbies.

She’s looking out for her kids. Unless you have had to fight for financial resources for your child, you eon’t Understand. My father was a serial monogamist and had four sets of kids. There was never enough money to help my mom support us, but he could keep pumping babies into someone else.

Even if you “made” him they’re usually reversible. No way you are going to control him after you’re separated.

I got my dh to do this. Thing was he didn’t want more kids anyway. How do you motivate him? Maybe start talking about having another baby?

I can understand this.

I posted on another thread about how my ex fought to reduce CS to pay for his new wife’s fertility treatments. That’s not the argument he used in court, but he was open about it with our younger child, trying to get her excited about a potential sibling.

Sounds like a good plan.

We have two kids together. He’s 38. Basically, the marriage isn’t working. He’s lied for the past five years, I don’t think I’ll move past it, but what keeps me from wanting to leave is the thought of him starting a new family at 40 with some late 20-something because now he has money.
It’s petty, but so were a his really stupid lies.
