+1! Pregnancy was rough on me, so I knew one was enough very early. I feel good about the decision.
+2. We were super fertile (pregnant on a single try) but decided we just want one. We know lots of families with only one and they seem pretty happy and normal.

I find it very hard to believe that most of your friends say they just feel like they “need” to have a second child. Most families want more than one. That doesn’t make you wrong.

We know other one child families but most of them come from something sad. Not a happiness to have a family set up of three, like us.
All of my friends are pregnant with with second or third kids and I'm just having a night where I left a BBQ and feel on our own a little bit. The other weird thing is that most say they aren't too excited about the second, they just feel that "need" to have a second. It makes me feel like, they don't want two, but they want to avoid the horribleness that's an only child. And here my kid seems pretty wonderful.
Anyways. Wish I knew just one other family that wanted one kid and wasn't mourning infertility. It's a nice life with a family of three, guys. Nothing to be mourning.
