Cutting the pay for retired teachers with very little notice and never restoring it, disregarding most of the input from staff, professional organizations, and administrators about the quality of subs and their suggestions about how to combat the shortage, being very slow to remedy risks identified by an audit that was opened in 2017 and finally completed a month ago. As far as I can tell, they never released the full results of the surveys they sent to teachers and admin, either.

People aren’t willing to pay for it though. Unfortunately.

I get that. However, other parts of the country, as well as most surrounding counties, manage to pay subs more than FCPS. I'm not sure if you were talking about paying for the FOIA; if so, I would say FCPS has a history of being really shady about the whole sub situation and don't mind my tax dollars being used to highlight the problems that's caused.

Sorry. I was thinking about the meals tax, for example.
