Yes, because of the bedtime routine like PP. Kids are 9, 6, and 4. We don’t wash hair every night, and sometimes they do little more than marinate in some warm water if they’re not actually dirty, but they do bathe each night.

Absolutely. I cannot imagine not bathing a child daily.

Yes, definitely. Especially now when he wears sunscreen and bug spray nearly every day.

Yes. I hate the idea of them getting in their clean beds without a bath.

No, every other day unless he needs it (e.g. he just bathed two days in a row because yesterday he was due and today he got very sweaty).

Nope. My oldest is 10 and will start every day this school year. My younger 2 take baths probably 3x a week.

In the summer, when they're sweating every day? Yes.

In the winter? It's okay if they skip a day.

If you’re kids go outside, attend school, camp etc., then a bath is needed! We don’t even allow the kids to get in bed/sit on it with their outdoor clothes.

Yes, every day. It's part routine and part germ prevention. I can't recall a day, other than being sick, that we didn't leave the house at all, and I just like to wash all of the dirt and whatever off before getting in to clean sheets.

I don't wash hair every day though. More like every other.

I’m always fascinated by the “not-every-day” bathers. We always did every day from when they were sitting up (supervised, of course.)
For us, it was less about cleanliness/stickiness and more about the all-important bedtime routine. Taking the bath was a really important part of wind down time. Because it was such an ingrained thing, we never got the resistance I hear about from PPs or some of my relatives.
It’s really a shame in the case of one kid I know, who at age six, after a day of running around is definitely in need of a bath, but it has now become a battle royale in their house, as the parent (who is not-so-great in many ways) just doesn’t want to put in the effort, so the kid... smells. I’m a bit worried for when he goes back to school this fall.
PPs—-I’m not saying *your* kids smell. I don’t know them!
Like I said, for us is was every day and it was because it was part of the routine bath—>books—>bed.

In the summer I’d say on average 6 out of 7 days, yes. I feel like it’s necessary if they’ve been in a pool, worn sunscreen or bug spray or played in dirt/sand. On random inside-only rainy days we might skip.

With that said, I’m not diehard about baths in the cooler months; 3-4x per week is fine for little kids in my opinion. I always do one if they go to gymnastics or an indoor playground because that grosses me out but otherwise it’s whenever we fit it in.

My kids are 4 and 6 and they don’t. I am beginning to think this is the exception and not the rule. We will do most days especially if they have left the house and been outside but on a lazy day if we are all inside, they tend to skip that day.
