What? There are many different kinds of DC privates. Without being more specific, this statement is meaningless.
+1. Agreed. Overall, Asians make up a small percentage of the DC population. Now: clearly, the makeup of the population of the city is often NOT in step with the makeup of private school student populations. Most significant case in point: African Americans.

We are a mixed race Asian family at a DC private and man. It is not common to see other Asian families.

Not a ton, but there are 2 or 3 in my child's classroom. I know Asian parents at Potomac. They love it. I cannot personally see these SPECIFIC asian families at GDS. I am not generalizing about Asians in general.

There are many Asians in the lower school at Sidwell. Why don't you ask the admissions offices to provide you with demographic information on the class?

OP. Because I don't want my DC be the only asian student in the class. The other post said they hope to have 5 AA kids in each class. If we can have 2 asian kids in each class I'm happy so my kid in not the only asian...
