Definitely not for legos. Some sets say 14+.

Lego sets appropriate for older kids are usually over the $5 limit, though. Otherwise, you are never too old for Lego.

I don't want a lego set around with a new baby. How about a book, art supplies, etc. Nothing with lots of pieces.

OP here and I'm pretty appalled I wrote that.

I think 11 year olds are too old to need consolation gifts when their sibling is having their birthday, but whatever.

Books and art supplies are also good.

Art supplies are good and gender-neutral. Markers, colored pencils, sketchbook, etc.

What age range ?

I like to give little gifts to siblings for birthdays, etc.

RIght now I'm looking for some small gifts I can give to boys and girls (doesn't necessarily need to be the same) - generally, but specifically for big bothers and sisters having new siblings enter the family who are around 10/11. Any ideas?
