Is this for real? I actually felt quite sympathetic towards her and could conceivably understand how a young exchange student could get in a situation which went horribly wrong.

I also understand that given the circumstances it would be difficult to begin again and have a fairly normal life.

But, at least try!!! This is truly embarrassing for her. No money then small ceremony and cake and champagne with family and friends.

To bring attention and make it a spectacle. Wow. So sad.

Move on. Do it with grace. Become an advocate if that’s your calling but to self- promote like this. Truly saddened to hear no family or mental health expert to support and re-direct. Not to mention fiancé!!!

I’ve always been a staunch defender of hers as far as her innocence goes, but this is pure garbage. She has acknowledged possibly being on the spectrum so maybe she’s unaware of how this comes across, but for the love of all that’s good- friends and family should have nipped this in the bud.
