And OP, you're SUPPOSED to eat salty foods when it's hot, to replenish salts lost through sweat. Water isn't the only thing helpful for hydration.
Also OP, people's bodies are different. There isn't one uniform formula that works for human bodies. I don't understand why you care - or think you know better than other people, just because YOUR body likes things a certain way.

- starches.. rice.. potatoes..
- gluten .. pastas.. breads..
- salty foods
- salt
- meat
- spicy food
Feel free to add to the list and add foods that are good and light.
Have you met Mexico? Or any temperature-hot country?
