First time, I was ordered to 2-3 days of strict bedrest in a laying down position with only breaks for bathroom and to eat. For the remained of the 2ww, no bending at the waist, carrying anything over 5lbs, vacuuming, etc. I was an anxious mess and it didn't work.

I did zero bedrest for my subsequent transfers and had success.

+1

Did this both times. First time failed, second time yielded healthy twins.

I rested the day of the transfer and went back to work the next day. It was successful but I lost it at 8 weeks.

None. I went back to work for a few hours after both of my successful transfers (one DD, one early loss), but I have a desk job and short commute.

I took the day off to be completely relaxed, snuggled up in bed and read. The next day back to work but I took it easy. DS is 4.5. I’m now in the 2WW for (hopefully) our second and did the same thing this time around.

I know bed rest doesn’t show benefits, but we’re putting our bodies through all kinds of crap with this process. Take time to be kind to yourself.

Two, the day of transfer and the day after. Then telecommuted for the third day. My job is stressful and I didn't want to feel pressure to deal with email or work calls, just relax and let my body do its thing.

Successful transfer.

None. I did mine out of state, worked from the hotel room after and then took a red eye home that night. transfer worked. I have a desk job. If I had to be on my feet all day at a job that was physically demanding, I would have taken the day off. Not bc I think bed rest is needed, but bc I’d want to take it a little easy.

None. I took a walk in a park on my way home, feeling a bit of nature couldn't hurt, and telecommuted that afternoon then was back in the office the next day. Successful twin implantation and for me at least I was glad to go to work to keep my mind off the 2WW.

I went back to work the next day. I didn’t work out at all until after the beta came back positive.

Just wanted to take a poll for those who have had successful transfers. About to start my first IVF cycle and wanted to see how much time I should really take off
