Thank you! It went well. The doctor who did it actually encouraged me to workout (as long as it wasn’t a marathon or hot yoga)

Glad to hear it! Will keep my fingers crossed for you in the next two weeks!

Thank you!! Any tips for this dreaded two week wait?? I’ve been trying to keep busy but the calendar is dragging!

Thank you! I think I’ll stick with a walk or a short elliptical session. I relax by exercising so it will help me emotionally. Thank you for all the helpful replies. My IUI is in a few hours- I’m so nervous !

Anonymous wrote:Yes, it’s fine. I went to normal exercise classes the evenings after most of my IUIs. My place said it was fine when I asked and I combed scientific literature for any data and it all seems to indicate that continuing to lie down for 10-15 minutes right after the IUI is important but after that nothing has any impact. I did have a successful IUI (4th attempt for me).

To the poster who implied OP has skewed priorities, please stop. Pretty sure she’s asking because she wants to to be pregnant and there’s some seriously alarmist recommendations out there. You can’t stop living your life while TTC.

OP here. Thanks for this answer. And much agreed- wanting to be healthy and take care of my body is actually part of TTC for me

I would not do more than a walk. Just take it easy.

Define “exercise lightly.”

Hi ladies,
Does anyone know if it’s ok to exercise lightly the same day after an IUI? My drs office said it was ok to resume daily activities however a quick google search reveals other fertility clinics recommend not exercising the day of an IUI. Thoughts ??
