This will be Flex's first year as aftercare vendor at Watkins and Langley. They approached with a proposal that made them more attractive than Springboard and that is why those schools were already canning Springboard when the news broke.
Interesting! Our school uses flex for classes only, curious to hear how it goes.

Well, there is YMCA and Champions and Polite Piggies and probably a few other options too.
It takes time to secure a vendor for after school. You can't just call up and they start the next day. I hope these schools and DCPS are thinking about this and getting something together before school starts this fall. Also, with so many schools that were serviced by Springboard, I hope these remaining vendors have the capacity to take up all the schools.

Two Rivers dumped them and had reps from the new after care program there the last day of school. I don't recall the name, but bonus is they have care for days off and breaks.
In fairness, the decision to replace Springboard at TR was made before the scandal broke. The new vendor is ABC something— and was indeed on site the last few days of school handing out info.
