Not really. The key point was the involvement of the President and his son.

I think High Point thought in 2012 it didn't have enough of a reputation to sustain an incident like this. It could have hurt credibility.

Also the college president wouldn't have wanted anything to happen to his son.

I hate these kinds of OPs. Tell us your thoughts and we can react. Don't just throw it out there so you can decide which side you fall on. Also, this wasn't a profile of High Point. It was a story that happened to happen there.

Just saw this dateline. I think there is more to the story. Fraternities have a lot of influence at High Point. There definitely is a cover up mentality. Also the president's son was in the fraternity so that raises eyebrows.

I'm not a fan of High Point, or fraternities. Having said that, I think this story is about neither of those, but instead a family who is channeling their grief (and apparently a lot of disposable income) into lawsuits as a way to avoid the reality of their child's death due to their child's voluntary ingestion of a controlled substance.
