Attended a 10yo birthday party recently and the kids ended up playing spies and terrorists with people designated as hostages. There were also nerf guns. I was mesmerized and tried to work out with a few other parents the PC hierarchy:

Cowboys and Indians
Cops and Robbers
Spies and Terrorists

I asked my DD later about the game and she said that cops shouldn’t shoot robbers, but if they were playing tag that would be the game. And since they were shooting people they had to be bad guys, and there are all kinds of terrorists. So I asked about the spy part and she said that spies’s jobs are to beat the terrorists and that sometimes takes guns too plus they have army friends.

Only in DC.

My kids friends play Cops and Robbers but they are always robbing the BB&T. Yes, we live near the BB&T that is robbed regularly.

My DS loves watching videos of people playing with toys with music in the background. (His favorite is something called Ploop Channel). I always catch him singing the background music songs while pushing his own Brio/Thomas trains around!

My kids are playing “you tubers and hackers.” They are just jumping around with light sabers. Makes me laugh. The words change but it all kind of stays the same.
