We did isci? What is picsi? Our clinic doesn’t tell us anything. We are on the fence about another cycle. I said no yesterday and today I’ve gone through a range of no to yes. My husband yesterday said donor embryo, adoption, or sperm and then an hour ago said he might be done

You are spending massive amounts of money and emotional energy in this process. Your clinic should give you answers. Don't be shy about pressing why so many DE cycles have failed if there are no red flags with sperm quality. Are you going with a proven donor?

This may sound weird, but I just don’t want to go through pregnancy with no genetic connection to either of us. I do wonder know if I actually have poor egg quality or not.


Doesn’t sound weird at all. We are a two married women and used DW’s eggs and she carried always. After three losses people would always ask why we didn’t use my eggs - a decision that was meticulously thought over and personal to us. No need to feel badly about what’s right for you.

If money is not an issue then definitely consider a second opinion. There are other clinics that are great for donor egg. If you have had multiple tries with the same results at SG (I'm guessing) then you might actually save time elsewhere.

Thank You. We are fortunate money isn’t an issue, but at this point it’s time. I’ll be 45 very shortly and I feel that if we switch now it may cause further delays. All of testing looks so good in paper so we never thought we’d be going down this road. We probably should have switched earlier. They probably would never have letvus so shared risk if they knew we may actually use all 6 tries.

If your clinic isn’t explaining things properly have you considered switching clinics? I know it may not be possible due to finances/exhaustion/etc — I just wanted to throw that out there. I really liked GW but they were quite expensive and of course everyone’s treatment/things they need are really different.

Also overall I am so sorry that you’re going through this OP. It sounds like you’re having a really rough time.

We are not able to make any blasts even with a donor eggs. DH has had all the basic tests sperm motility and fragmentation and they have been fine. What else could cause an issue?
