Dr Landy wrote me a really nice letter after I updated her about my birth (I lived to another city at the end) and my health issues. My RE did not respond at all.

So I agree that she is direct but also empathetic.

I really liked Dr. Driggers at Sibley. She’s direct and candid but also warm.

I liked doctor Landy too - she is direct but I found her to be empathetic. My husband was at risk of a rare genetic disorder that would have been fatal and fortunately tested negative. Most doctors when we mentioned this just kinda checked it off their list and had a "great, one less thing to worry about" attitude. But when we told her, she put her notepad/laptop down, made eye contact and said "wow, that testing process must have been very stressful, knowing you tested negative must be a huge relief." It was a little thing, but it made us feel like less of a number, and that she was really paying attention.


I liked Landy as well, but had a couple of issues. She is very busy and I had a lot of trouble scheduling appointments with her. And when we did find issues, I really felt like the practice held back on advising us of our options and implications of the condition because of GT being a Catholic hospital. I ended up self-referring to CHOP.

Dr Luiz Gomez in Inova Fairfax Hospital is excellent.

If you have a specific issue that you would like to address with an expert, then Dr Irina Burd at Hopkins is your regional expert. She is a director of MFM research at JHH, and is very caring.

Looking for recommendations for MFM dr. I’m in the Fairfax area but I’d prefer to find the best care possible and will drive anywhere in the DMV. We had a bad experience with our MFM the first time around. Thank you!
