Depends on where you live, too.

^ I’ve never paid more than $50/hr—even for coaches in those categories.

60-80 is reasonable. 85 or higher there should be a good reason (former college coach with a strong reputation or well known former professional player)

Is your DD going to be attending a public or private high school? Public schools in VA play soccer in the spring. Everyone else in the area, including VA private schools play in the fall. If she is going to private HS, email the coach and find out if they are having summer workouts prior to tryouts.

How much is too much for an individual session. I Pay 60 for 1 hour, is this too much.

Capstone Performance Training in Falls Church has a pretty intense fitness program they run in the Summer.

Gunston, Lee Mount Vernon, and SYC are near you and have various camps. If she’s interested in a club she may want to contact them to see who has openings for her age group. Would be nice to start training with her team this summer and maybe know people before she starts school.

So she can practice with a super y team over the summer. Just contact one of the clubs and tell them your story. They practice twice a week.

Also if she wants to play tomorrow there is a Brazilian camp at Palisades rec center in DC. It’s easy to get there from Arlington. You can signup for the day. Just send an email.

HP Elite puts on good clinics. Not super close to your side of town, but worth looking into, in my opinion.

There aren’t as many programs/options for HS age players outside of the clubs...amazing how the player pool dwindles as you move from U10/11/12 to U15/16/17. You might not be that far from El San Jaime? If you are looking for training options. I understand your reluctance to jumping into the club scene, but I’d suggest contacting Arl/Alexandria/SYC/LMVSC sooner rather than later.

Looking for opportunities for my 9th grader to get some touches on the ball and fitness work this summer. We've just moved here this week (military) and are not on a club team yet (and not interested in rushing to try out for one in the coming weeks until we get a feel for the local scene), though she plans to try out for her HS team. She played for a high level travel team in our old community (state cup and Regional champs).

Does anyone know of a trainer or a coach whom we could hire in the NoVa (Alexandria/Mt Vernon/Arlington area) 2-3 times a week to keep up her fitness and footwork? I'm guessing most club teams are taking July off, otherwise I'd be willing to try approaching a few of them and see if we could pay to just have her works out with them.

Appreciate any ideas! Thanks!
