I kept a FWB around for awhile (couple years?) even though I knew an actual relationship was a non-starter. We got along outside of bed though, too - I just knew I had no desire to marry him. (he was very flaky with his money, and he seemed to be itching to get his hands on mine. no thanks.)

Just because the sex was good? I’ve only had one guy where it was just about the sex and it only lasted 2-3 months. He was very well endowed and I still remember the first time I saw it and he really knew how to use it. But he was about as interesting as a bag of rocks and not much brighter and his sex skills were just not enough for it to last longer.

About a year - FWB situation. Would have stayed for as long as I was single or returned when I became single again; only moved on because I found a relationship I wanted to pursue that ended up in marriage.

Single mom here - I’ve had a FWB for almost two years and it’s all about the sex. He works from home so it’s very convenient for me to see him every week or so. If my ex could have satisfied me the same way I might never have gotten a divorce. He’s definitely not a LTR candidate but he’s good.
