I was thinking the same. It's obvious why a parent wouldn't just divorce over lack of sex and anyone who doesn't have kids can't understand.

I do but I’m in my mid-50s yet look a lot older (closer to 68), so no way I’d find another man. And I don’t have money. Got myself stuck.

I have a friend in a similar situation. She has a cushy life and a side piece. TBH, I’m jealous. I have to slug away at a mediocre job with long hours and my DH is moody and hardly around. I’d leave but I need his income and security. Sucks....

A 45 year old woman who has been a SAHM for the last 20 years probably has relatively bleak prospects for work or a fling.
She’s passed her childbearing years and has been out of the workforce for years so her job and relationship prospects are less than stellar. People are willing to put up with unhappy marriages or relationships when they perceive their options as minimal at best.
I doubt she wants to give up her cushy lifestyle so remaining a SAHM and having a side piece is where she’s most comfortable.
It’s her life to waste.

A friend of mine was dating a married women for the last 13 months. She is a stay at home mom with a 4th grader. Been married for over 20 years and obviously not happy.
The other day he ended with her saying if your not going to at least look at getting a divorce and moving on I am. This did not set very well with her.
Her response was quite interesting: She said I will be ok I’m pretty,smart,young (45) and well off... I will move on to another.
What is wrong with some people. Get a divorce so you can live your life. I feel sorry for her DH and child as they have no clue what is going on
