Only if the cousin was a good friend, otherwise no.

The cousins I have would definitely do this. We haven’t spoken in decades.

I would not reach out. I would also not allow the cousin in my home.

If I was already close to her, yeah to reaching out. Not going to lie, I'll think of her differently b/c of her lack of morals.
But if I was never close to her, no way would I reach out now.

I’m not close to my cousins. It would feel like seeking out drama if I made a move like that. If it were someone I had a close relationship with, like my sister or a friend, I’d reach out. I’m close with one of my aunts, so if the cousin were her daughter, I’d reach out to that aunt.

you're one cold person. chuckle? "how dreadful"? you have no idea of the details of what went on - sure hope you never need a friend's shoulder to lean on.

She will probably be going to prison. I would reach out to her and if/when she does go to prison, visit her.
I have an acquaintance that went to prison for a similar crime (this was years before I met him.) One thing that was very hard on him was getting out of prison and having to start from scratch. A lot of his former friends and family didn't want anything to do with him. He didn't even have enough warm clothing (it was winter.)

Yeah, I'd reach out. She obviously needs a friend.

She's 55. Divorced and parents are dead.
