I assume she is afraid of it escalating. Or her daughter being afraid. This woukd freak my kid out.
Or the girlfriend might come pounding on the door, asking for help. We had volatile neighbors when I was a kid, and this happened more than once.

Anonymous wrote:Our neighbor had a gf a year ago who called the cops on him in the middle of the night because he locked her outside in just a t-shirt and panties for refusing sex. The cops helped her get her clothing and purse and gave her a ride home. They reunited a few weeks ago but have been fighting since 5 am. I need to accompany DH to the hospital for day long testing. DD’s best friend is going on vacation for the day. At 13, DD is too old for a sitter, but I’m worried about leaving her alone all day with the volatile situation across the courtyard. She’d be bored stiff at the hospital all day. Should I just give her $50 and insist she go to the library and our version of “downtown”?

How far away is the hospital and how serious are the tests? Does your husband need you there for them?
