My wife & I have played with handcuffs and tying hands, but I've never felt like it's worked terribly well because our bed doesn't have rungs on the head board to secure the cuffs or rope. We could move off the bed or maybe get a lot of rope to reach from the bed legs to her arms, but we've never been committed enough to the idea for that level of effort.

Have fun with it. Maybe you both enjoy it, maybe not. The only way to really optimize your sex life is to keep trying new things while recognizing it's no big deal if whatever it happens to be doesn't work out.

My DH and I were at a bar yesterday evening and somehow the subject of 50 Shades came up.
