I think that, unfortunately, insurance coverage means that everyone (from your clinic to your pharmacy) jacks up their prices. My billing coordinator told me that for most people who have insurance, it’s mainly the drugs that will cause their lifetime max to be reached, rather than treatments. Since I had no coverage and paid out of pocket, there is no way I could verify that.

Are these reviews on prices paid OOP? Does anyone konw of pharmacies that give insurance companies good prices?

I have a lifetime max limit including meds so I am shopping around to see if I can get the lowest amount charged against my max.

Def call and ask around. Many places will have discounts if they're associated with your clinic. Prices do change b

A few years ago I ordered most of mine from a pharmacy in Maine — I’m pretty sure I found the name on DCUM. They wouldn’t ship to Va but you could ship to a UPS location in DC and pick up. Then I’d supplement by driving out to Rockville for things I needed day-of.

My clinic sent me to Avella pharmacy Arizona when their in-house pharmacy was out of Lupron last year. Avella's prices were the best Id seen for OOP purchases. Others I've used are Freedom Pharmacy and Alex Twin Pharmacy. In a pinch one cycle I needed an extra dose of Cetrotide and got a good price same-day at Grubbs Specialty on 17th and Church NW.

Lupron through goodrx at CVS (need to order in advance) was a steal compared to MDR, but I got everything else through them. Also check out the reddit infertility sub for tons of info and pricing on drugs.

My doctor referred me to MDR (who supposedly have a negotiated rate with his clinic) and that's who I used. Just checked the prices on GoodRx and they're insanely high.

For injectable fertility drugs? I always have seen crazy goodrx prices for those. Am I doing something wrong?

Winfertility has good pricing. I call around everywhere I can find and compare pricing.

MdRX and Encompass RX are what I use. I also get quotes from Freedom Fertility, but the other two have had better prices for me. Your fertility clinic may have special discounts at certain pharmacies. You should check with your clinic.

Hello - any thoughts on where to get the best pricing for Gonal-F and Menopur?
