The officer's name doesn't need to be made public. Not sure why you would want it to. Maybe so the internet can attack him and destroy his life before all the facts are known? You disgust me.

The only witness account thus far has said there was an argument, and then the officer pulled his gun and started shooting.

I don't know why they aren't releasing more details. That part does seem odd.

And being upset because a law enforcement officer shot and killed people, claiming self-defense, also isn't a new thing.

I am sure he had his reasons to shoot.

Even if the son had done something to provoke the cop, it doesn’t justify shooting three unarmed people. That cop is psychotic, as is the department protecting him.

That press release is appalling.

The gunman who opened fire on Friday night at the Costco store in Southern California is a cop.

He killed one person and shot two others. All 3 victims were unarmed. The man he killed was apparently an intellectually disabled man who was non-verbal. The other 2 victims were his caregiver parents. Both of them are in critical condition.

The shooter says the victim attacked him while he was holding his child, but the victim's family members say he was gentle and had not been violent before. “It could have been that he bumped into somebody but couldn’t communicate the fact that he was sorry,” a family member said.

Predictably, the police department is protecting its own. They haven't arrested the officer. From the tone and wording of their statement update, they intend to protect him as long and far as they can.
